One of the stops on our Toledo excursion was at a damascene workshop.  We wanted to see the craftsmen at work making the fine jewelry.  It proved to be an interesting stop and Granny acquired a new set of earrings.  I have a short video of the craftsmen doing their work.

What would the day be without a fantastic meal.  After our touring, Juan took us to  Adolpho, a very nice restaurant where we had a wonderful meal as shown below.  The meal consisted of one starter, one meat or fish and the dessert of the day.  We also got an appetizer.

After lunch, we got a taxi back to the train station for the trip back to Madrid and later went to a nearby restaurant for dinner.  After looking online, we found a well recommended restaurant - Casa Gonzalez - that was in easy walking distance.  When we got there it turned out to be a VERY crowded restaurant/deli type place.  They said there would be a wait for a table.  We were going to leave but decided to stay and wait it out.  GOOD CHOICE!  As we sat waiting and watching, the man behind the counter making up plates of sliced meats and cheeses.  When it came our turn, we ordered one of each and it turned out to be delicious charcuterie.
We had nothing scheduled for our last day in Madrid.  We decided to go back to El Retiro Park and explore some more.
It was our last night in Madrid.  We did manage to go out for dinner to a restaurant just down the street from the hotel.  It was OK but not worth posting pictures.  Win some, lose some.  Tomorrow off to Bilbao.
