We were scheduled today for a "small group" cooking class.  I was a bit concerned because we don't move quickly and that sometimes doesn't work well with groups.  No need to worry.  For our class there were 5 students and an instructor/chef.  We couldn't have asked for a better group, instructor or class.

First we were off to La Boqueria - the market.

There was a wide variety of foods from which to choose.  Veggies, fruits, dried fish, fresh fish, shell fish, meat, and more and more and more.
We watched as a man deboned and prepared a squid.  Click HERE to see a video of this in action.
Shopping is done.  It's time to prepare the meal.  Everbody takes part in the preparation.
Time to EAT!  The menu:  Soup, followed by Spanish Omelet with tomatoe bread.  Main course is paella.  Both standard pella with shrimp, mussels and clams and a vegetarian paella for our vegetarian cooks.  And top it off with flan for dessert!  VERY GOOD.  Complements to the chefs!
All this made possible by our fantastic instructor/chef
Ross Costantino.
